This scene is anchored by the iconic steel arch of the New River Gorge Bridge, soaring high above the mist-shrouded valley. Down below, thrill-seekers navigate the rushing waters in bright rafts, while determined climbers scale the sandstone cliffs. But its not all extreme sports – lush green forests make this a stunning place to breathe in clean air and soak up the view. Even a local turtle has found the perfect rock to sit back and watch.
