“When an ancient Egyptian artifact is discovered, two men unlock its secret power as a portal through time and space.”

That’s the stock description for this 1994 classic that spawned a massive sci-fi franchise, and it doesn’t quite do justice to how great the original movie is. Workingly-titled “Lawrence of Arabia in Outer Space”, this is probably Roland Emmerich’s best movie. This edition of the blu-ray also does not have the infamous subtitle issues (all subs or no subs at all) as the first printing of the film.
