Elizabeth is promoting the latest book in her White Space series; “The Folded Sky,” a deep space opera where an archivist trying to save an intelligence is attacked by fanatic pirates in an isolated part of the galaxy.John is promoting his newest book; “Wearing the Lion” A humanizing redemptive retelling of the Heracles myth, where a traumatized Heracles, who cannot enact more violence, instead befriends a found family of monsters, while searching for the god that killed his family.
Come join these two authors in a discussion about the craft, blood or found family, and what it takes to make a hero’s journey.ABOUT THE AUTHORS:John Wiswell is a disabled writer who lives where New York keeps all its trees. He won the 2021 Nebula Award for Short Fiction for his story, “Open House on Haunted Hill,” and the 2022 Locus Award for Best Novelette for “That Story Isn’t The Story.” He has also been a finalist for the Hugo Award, British Fantasy Award, and World Fantasy Award. He is the author ofSomeone You Can Build a Nest In,a Nebula nominee and Year’s Best pick by NPR and The Washington Post, and Wearing the Lion.
